The Sports Performance and Prevention Conference (SPPC) 2020 is back. Bringing together another exceptional line up of industry experts, from across New Zealand’s sporting spectrum, as well as invited internationally renowned professionals.  This will be an incredibly valuable learning and sharing opportunity in New Zealand Sport.

‘The Everyday YOUTH Athlete’ will be the central theme for the 2020 conference. The outcome of the conference is to build the knowledge and capability for those working with and developing our youth players and athletes, within our sporting spectrum.  All presentations will have a youth centred approach and a focus on; sports performance, injury prevention, athlete development, plus health and wellbeing in a player development context within sport. The aim is to enhance and build knowledge ensuring the everyday youth athlete remains in the game, building a better and longer future, both playing and performing. We will have both nationally and internationally renowned professionals sharing their expert knowledge with practical learnings you can implement within your youth sport structures and systems.

The SPP Conference is the perfect 1-day event for anyone involved in the NZ sporting industry, especially those working with and developing youth players and athletes with either a participation or a high performance outcome.  All sports professionals, with the responsibility for ensuring the; development, performance, welfare and the health of our everyday youth athletes of NZ, should attend.  We welcome the likes of; community sport development personnel, strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists and sports physicians, through to high-performance and coaching personnel within both national and regional sports, across all sporting codes.

For the first time in 2020 we will be presenting a pre-conference to support our everyday youth athletes their parents and secondary schools. This is a shortened programme, specifically tailored to these groups, to; enhance knowledge and understanding of the younger, developing player in sport. It will supply the tools to make informed decisions and provide excellent developmental programmes and systems aligned to best practice, in youth sporting systems.  This pre-conference programme will enable, those who attend, to build better people, better systems, better support, better balance and better players.
